Your smile is the first thing most people will notice about you. If you have spent years hiding your natural smile because you are embarrassed about the appearance of your teeth, or if you struggle to eat, chew or speak clearly then you may be interested in enquiring about our Smile Makeovers.

What Is A Smile Makeover?

Some patients we see need only a single procedure, such as a crown or a veneer, to perfect their smile. Others need a combination of treatments but may be unclear about which ones will give them the best results. Our Smile Makeovers combine two or more of our bespoke cosmetic dental treatments to repair, restore and rejuvenate your whole smile.

We treat each patient as an individual and we will take great care to listen to what you want to achieve from your own Smile Makeover – then we will do everything we can to deliver the smile you have always wanted.

How Does A Smile Makeover Work?

We offer a range of cosmetic dental treatments, from white fillings to porcelain veneers. Depending on the result you want to achieve, we will recommend the combination of treatments that will be most effective at achieving that result. We will always consider how to give you the smile you desire in the most conservative way: if there are several treatments that will work equally well, we will always recommend those which are the least invasive in order to minimise discomfort and save you time and money.

The treatments that might be included in a Smile Makeover include:

  • Veneers
  • Fast-acting braces or aligners
  • Teeth whitening
  • White fillings (to replace amalgam fillings)
  • Crowns

Will A Smile Makeover Work For Me?

This is where good communication comes into play – at Damira, we will listen very carefully to what you want to achieve from your Smile Makeover. We will then set out the options for how to achieve the smile of your dreams and give you the information you need in order for you to make a choice about which treatments you want.

This consultation process happens as part of your in-depth Smile Evaluation, which will also include a detailed examination of your mouth, soft tissue, jaw and bite. X-rays will be taken, as will a full series of dental photographs; often, we will also take impressions of your teeth in order to create ‘study models’ of your teeth to explore how best to improve your smile at this planning stage. We will also ask you questions about your diet, lifestyle and profession so that we can get a full, overall picture of your needs and how we can most effectively create a beautiful smile that will last a lifetime.

How Long Does A Smile Makeover Take?

The planning stage of your Smile Makeover may take several weeks as we decide with you what treatments will work best and how your final smile will look and feel. Once a plan has been decided by you and your dentist, your treatment can begin. This can take anything from a few weeks to eight or nine months if cosmetic braces or aligners are needed. Throughout your treatment you will have access to your dentist at regular appointments and can telephone for advice at any stage.
